I am a Living Miracle
Hey everybody, most of you have never met me, but my name is Jayden John Schram and I am a living testimony. My parents are John and Misty Schram, and this is my story.
It all started when my parents knew they were going to have me. My mom and dad wanted to have a name with meaning so that was how I got the name Jayden, which means “Jehovah has heard”. It was fitting since my dad had prayed for his first born to be a son since he was about 12 yearas old.
Anyway, let’s skip forward to the beginning of my birth and how I was raised from the dead like Jesus.
When it was time for me to make my start in life I was dealt a bad set of cards. “The dead mans hand”, one might say. The cord was wrapped around my neck twice so I was strangled to death. when I arrived I had no heartbeat or anything. About 8 nurses came to my rescue and started CPR. My mom and dad were worried, but they have served God for quite sometime. Even though they were worried, my dad felt the Holy Spirit remind him about Romans 4:17 about how God quickens the dead and call things not as though they were. So he reached his hand in my direction and said I would live and not die, in Jesus name. Then he did the best he could to comfort my mom. It had been almost ten minutes and they were about to give up on me when I was resurrected from the dead, and my heart started to beat again. In the process a rib had been separated and a lunch punctured. then, due to the lack of oxygen my brain went into shock and I had some seizure like symptoms. I had a rough start, but I am a fighter, just like my old man, and I have his determination as well.
I had to be sent to a children’s hospital in Cincinnati and my dad followed me over there. The doctor told my dad that there was a very good chance that I had sustained brain damage and he needed to prepare himself for the worst. Dad told the doctor to do his best and let God take care of the rest. The doctor told Dad he did not think he was properly mentally preparing himself for the worst and dad told him that he respected his opinion but all the rest and the doctor would do would prove that I was perfect until he had conclusive evidence to support different. My mom and dad have a lot of faith in God. Also there were many other family members and friends praying for me as well so thanks to all. I had to be put on a cooling blanket for 72 hours, having a feeding tube inserted, and be put on a ventilator.
My dad stayed the night with me. Thanks dad, and I know mom would have been there if she could have. By the next morning I had enough of the ventilator so I pulled it out. They put me on supplemental oxygen for a couple more days, but no more ventilator. They started the heart, kidney, and liver tests but all the tests were complete and they said I was perfect, just like my dad told them. When I first arrived at the hospital they said I would be there for 2-3 weeks, but I was out in 9 days, just like daddy said. The last thing I had to do was overcome full feedings so I would not need the feeding tube any longer and I did that in 2 days. Everybody was so proud. They wanted me to stay a couple extra days in the hospital but there was no reason, and if you know my dad, he can be direct, professional, but direct, and he made sure that I was out on Good Friday and able to see all our friends and family for Easter.
I got to spend the rest of my time with my family before dad had to go back to war and defend America. He has a platoon, “The Punishers” who needed him. Just like I need him. It was a good time, just not long enough. I am Jayden Schram and I am a living miracle.
The Allen Shooting
I was there 30 mins before it happened. I had heard Pastor Justin's message about praying and being in the right place at the right time online that morning. The Lord kept telling me to pray before I went and not to turn the TV on before I left home. I knew I’d be delayed. I stopped at the mall on the way to meet my cousin because I had never been to the mall before as I’m new to the area. Afterwards I heard about the shooting and went back to track timeline and realized I was there 30 mins beforehand. I’m so grateful for the Word from Pastor Justin as well as being used by God to pray not only for myself, but others who's lives were potentially spared due to divine delays.
That’s My God
In April I was in the hospital for 6 days with double pneumonia and the lung specialist had a cat scan done showing both lungs full and shadows in the back he was concerned about, a second cat scan was taken 20 days later. When I went to my appointment with him he was shocked and said it takes many weeks or even months for all pneumonia to be gone and mine was healed in 20 days, he said in 32 years he has never seen this happen. I said that's my God. Also in the hospital I had to have 5 IV's put in ( they couldn't use my right arm because of breast cancer and mastectomy so they were having trouble finding places to put it, at one point they tried to get blood from my left hand and the little tube filled but not the vial that they needed so another person came in to try my right hand the same thing happened so I started praying and as soon as I said in Jesus name the vial filled instantly and the nurse said WOW, it was in their hand, amazed. And when they were trying to find a place for the 5th IV, they called in a sonagram person to find a vain, so I closed my eyes waiting for another stick and all I felt was a light touch on my arm and he said your done, I was amazed but should have known, I had prayed for everything to go smoothly. Thank you heavenly Father
We Prayed About it and Left it in Gods Hand
We were believing for the funds to help get my daughter to camp! We prayed about it and left it in Gods hand continuing to participate in fundraisers! Well surprisingly I received a call from one of my patients, who has always been so kind and generous. He said he had been trying to get a hold of me! He wanted to bless us and asked what is our need? I told him we are already so blessed, but he insisted no questions asked. This is just something that is on his heart. So I told him about camp and he said he is writing out the check now! Praise God!
God Did It!
I felt led to share with the wonderful testimony of how God abundantly blessed my daughter as she was raising funds for her very 1st time to attend Youth Camp with Heritage! As she never previously had the opportunity to go to any youth camp before now! So, we attended the Youth/Parent meeting for camp at the end of March and Pastor Alex was telling us how they were informing the youth, that there is nothing too BIG for God, because the God we serve is a BIG God!! And, letting them know that the $600 cost & fee for camp, may sound BIG, but, God was BIGGER and would provide for them! So, my daughter knowing this with her entire heart set out to start her fundraising efforts, and having a child like faith, expecting God to provide all of her funds! She was a little shy with asking people at first, but very quickly saw the evidence of God's amazing abundance & faithfulness as the collections started flowing in from outside family, and then from our church family also! She was blown away on her first day collecting over $150 by family & friends from church! and then a few days later a church family & their daughter donated over half of the entire camp fee, of $350!! My daughter said to me, "Momma, God did it, and provided ALL of my funds to go to camp!" Praise God, thank you Jesus for your provision!! Hallelujah!!
